About the book :
This book covers the fundamental topics of the basic organic chemistry and then ventures into a few advanced concepts. It is also the first volume of a planned multi-volume series which is designed in a semester-wise pattern and closely adheres to the upcoming new syllabus. Written in a lucid and student friendly conversational tone the book adopts a logical and problem-solving approach in its aim to develop the basic understanding of organic chemistry suitable for an undergraduate and graduate audience. The discussion is supplemented by thoughtfully designed graphics and the text is combined with sets of hundreds of problems arranged according to levels of increasing difficulty. The solution to all these problems are supplied at the end of each chapter which makes this book suitable for use as a self-study guide. We believe the present volume will be a valuable resources both for learners and educated in the first semester of a three year long organic chemistry curriculum.
